PHO LENG LION DANCE INSTRUCTION CENTRE 普宁醒狮学院 Established since 1990. （成立于1990年）

Pho Leng Lion Dance Instruction Centre (PLLDIC) was established in the year 1990 by a group of professional Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, Martial Arts, Acrobatics instructors as well as a group of event planning & production team who handles all area of event management and promotion in Singapore and all over the region.

Being the ‘mother’ club for more than 40 over lion dance establishments in Singapore, South East Asia and Western Countries, PLLDIC has since its inception been a key player in promoting traditional Oriental Arts namely Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, Martial arts, and Acrobatic Acts. Under the able direction of its founder members, the membership of the club has increases tremendously. The centre has been successful in nurturing young talents through creative and quality physical training and to upgrade the local lion dance, dragon dance as well as martial art standards through organizing of various competitions and demonstration campaigns.

PLLDIC has distinguished itself in the past 20 years with numerous outstanding performances both in local and overseas major events. It has actively participated in National Day parades, Chingay processions, welcoming of local and overseas VVIPs, performances for government agencies, private functions as well as taking part in Lion, Dragon Dance and martial art competitions. All these performances have received favourable comments from all quarters. Under the tutelage of the instructors from PLLDIC, many of the sub branches of PLLDIC have won numerous champions in both local and international competitions.

In particular, the said centre is also an entertainment consultant company and has hosted many company’s D & D as well as opening of business concerns and RC road shows. Two of its capable instructors are International Wushu Champion Picasso Tan, a TCS channel 5 part time artistes and choreographer for National Day parade’s mass display and Mr Vincent Ng Cheng Hye an international Wushu Champion and TCS channel 5 & 8 artiste.

In addition, the centre has organized both local and international relevant seminars, lion, dragon dance and martial arts exchange programmes, dances camps and overseas tours to upgrade the members’ dances technique and knowledge. Due to their capability and high skills acquired, many of the instructors from the PLLDIC have been requested to coach overseas.
